Classes taught[edit]

Style & personality[edit]

Dr. Bellamy used to teach mainly lab classes, but is now teaching more lecture classes. He is known as the easiest teacher for lab, and doesn't always make students repeat trials, etc. His lab tests are not necessarily easy, but if decent preparation is made, they aren't too difficult.

During lecture, at least for Chemistry I, Dr. Bellamy's tests are pretty easy. He grades tests, but does hand out practice homework problems he writes up himself, along with an answer key. If you study those problems, and know the lecture material, his tests are decently difficult. Also, Dr. Bellamy gives previous tests on eCompanion, which are also good for additional study material. He tends to tell a lot of stories during his lecture class about his life and his family. His speaking and lecture skills are good, and usually his stories are midly entertaining.

Dr. Bellamy is now teaching Chemistry II, a class he hasn't taught in awhile. Many students say that it is the hardest Chem II class, but some pass just fine. If you aren't very good at chemistry, it may be a challenge. If, for you, Chemistry is a breeze, then Dr. Bellamy's class will probably be fine.

Student opinions[edit]

Robyn: I liked Dr. Bellamy. I had him for Gen. Chem 1 and he made sense most of the time and his tests were pretty straight forward. never ask to eat a muffin or any food in his class. He will say yes, but only if he gets to tell his muffin story. one of many stories from his good ol army days.

Angela: His wife makes really good coffee.

Jennie: I liked Dr. Bellamy's Chem I class. If you go to class, pay attention, take good notes, and study for a few days before the tests, then you'll probably do well. Feel free to ask questions in his class if you don't understand the homework problems. In fact, you should ask questions, because those homework problems are mostly what he tests over. Look at the practice tests also, and use them for study material. Usually those are an accurate representation of what will be on the test.
