Every year the Academy has found a speaker from the working world to prepare the graduating class for confrontation with the future they are heading towards. Most of these speakers are from afar off, though occasionally a more familiar speaker will be invited, such as in 2004, when Richard Leet, a Northwest alumni, spoke to the graduates.
