Our class seems to spend disprportionally large amounts of time on various periods of time. We spent almost a whole week on the industrial revolution, Carnegie, etc., but we did the Civil War and Reconstruction in less than a full class period. -KoopaTroopa211

It's a very subjective class, and the instructor will spend more time on the part he/she finds interesting. Hopefully that will translate into interesting for you, but meh. Also, the Industrial revolution was a somewhat longer period of time, as well as one of the defining points of Western society in recent history. The Civil war itself isn't as interesting or complex as the factors leading into it and its results. Also the reformation ended rather quickly, and didn't get picked back up until nearly a century later. -Chrax
