Classes taught[edit]

Style & personality[edit]

She has 1 quiz each week, worth 50 points. The quizzes are generally over 2 chapters in the book, which is a lot better than taking only a few tests in the semester over 8-10 chapters. Most probably have to read the book to get an A. She also has a midterm test over an outside reading book and the final is worth 100.

Her personality is great; she's very approachable. Justin and I used to call her class, "Story-time with Grandma, after lunch."

Student opinions[edit]

Dr. Falcone is a wonderful teacher. She really enjoys her subject (history) and is excited by any student who actually comes to her classes. Really, that's all you need to do to pass this class. Attend class, complete the midterm paper (which replaces a midterm test), and take the final (studying not required). She gives quizzes every week, alternating between online and in class. Online ones are a great way to raise your grade, because you have the whole week to take them, and you can have your book open in front of you. Some people worked together on the quizzes, but remember the test will use the same questions, so I don't recommend this method if you are just being lazy. She's also readily available if you are the type of student who utilizes office hours. And the oppurtunities for extra credit are usually fun, such as watching a movie about the time period you are studying, then answering some questions.
