Also, the Industrial revolution was a somewhat longer period of time, as well as one of the defining points of Western society in recent history. The Civil war ''itself'' isn't as interesting or complex as the factors leading into it and its results. Our class seems to spend disprportionally large amounts of time on various periods of time. We spent almost a whole week on the industrial revolution, Carnegie, etc., but we did the Civil War and Reconstruction in less than a full class period. -KoopaTroopa211
