Single Speed Chains

1 Locate the quick link on the drive chain also identify the clip side of the link.

2 Place one jaw regarding the pliers on the available finish regarding the link clip and the other jaw on the pin on the opposite end of the quick link.

3 Squeeze the tackles about the pliers until the clip pops away the pins. Slide the clip lower with your fingers and remove it from the pins. Remove the link plate underneath the clip from the quick link pins.

4 Glide the quick link plate and pins out of the end links on the chain. The chain can now be removed away from the bike.

Multi-Speed Chains

1 Fold the chain within half with the quick link at the conclusion of the fold.

2 Place the jaws of the pliers on opposite sides regarding the quick link through one jaw on the end about each link plate near the permanently attached pins. Quick Quid.
