My name is Niels P. Zussblatt, though most people call me "Z" since I have the honor of being the only Academy student with that letter starting my last name. I get annoyed whenever anything is done alphabetically as a result.

I live in room 203 on 2FE. Neal Davis is my RC, and my roommate is David West.

Pre-Academy

Before the Academy I went to Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield, MO. There were about 300 people in my class. At PCHS I was on the Student Council, and a member of both the Academic Team as well as Science Olympiad. I felt bored most of the time while there, so I decided to come here. I was really looking forward to coming here until I got my acceptance letter and actually realized I would be leaving the few friends I had at my school. If you are someone who is a prospective student of the Academy, let me tell you that you can keep your friends at home and meet the wonderful people here.

Other Thoughts

• The Academy can get boring on weekends
• The rooms aren't as small as they seem; there is plenty of space for 2 people
• Classes and work aren't too bad, just don't fall behind
• Pay attention in classes and studying is easy, don't pay attention at your own risk!
• Get out of your room or off your computer; go talk to people!
• Everyone hates the University laptops ("crap-tops"), but if you aren't too computer savvy, they work just fine most of the time.
• Join Organizations and Clubs; I'm in:

  • MASMAbots (Robotics)
  • Astronomy Club
  • Chess/Go Club
  • Adventure Club
