Neal began his work as the Director of Student Achievement in the Summer of 2011. In this capacity, Neal is responsible for monitoring the academic performance of all Missouri Academy students and helping guide and advise them on the college application process. In addition, Neal is instrumental in helping develop, monitor and coordinate the Missouri Academy curriculum. He is also a liaison with many of the Missouri Academy's outside stakeholders including sending schools and prospective college and university admissions and financial aid personnel.

Neal has previously worked at the Missouri Academy as a Residential Counselor from 2003 to 2009. He hopes to use the knowledge and experiences he gained as an RC to continue to add value to the student experience at the Missouri Academy. He has always had a passion for working with academically talented and high-achieving students and he is thrilled to be able to continue to do so in new and exciting ways.

Neal is a Bearcat through and through. He's been at Northwest first as a student and then an employee since 1999. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwest with a major in Broadcasting and a minor in Computer Science in 2003. As an undergrad, Neal was an RA, Biology tutor and he worked in the KXCV/KRNW newsroom at Northwest. While he was a Residential Counselor, Neal completed his Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership from Northwest in 2009.

Neal was born in Louisville, KY (and is a big Louisville Cardinals fan), but grew up in Cape Girardeau, MO. He met his wonderful wife Meghan, who also works at Northwest, during his time as an RC. They had their first child, Lily, in March of 2011. Neal enjoys nothing more than spending time with his wife and daughter and their two dogs Ginger and Sugar. He also enjoys watching sports, movies and TV, playing golf, reading and playing games. He's a huge St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams fan and loves spending time with his family and friends.
