Like most distros, Ubuntu has a community of users and developers that share knowledge and experience in a forum, though unlike many distros, Ubuntu sports an excellent support staff. Ubuntu also comes with over one thousand pieces of software, including OpenOffice, Gnome 2.8, the new Linux 2.6 kernel and several mulitmedia programs comparable to Windows Media Player.
