Style & personality
Dr. Steiner is a very good teacher. His lectures rock. Unlike some teachers in this department, he does not use powerpoints. Instead, he walks around the front of the room orally presenting his notes, making for stimulating lectures. This guy really knows his stuff. The first 5 or 10 minutes of class consist of him talking about ideas and such from the previous lecture, and then he starts that day's lecture. He goes at a slow pace, so you're not scrambling to get your notes written down, but not too slow that you're bored out of your mind. Just right.
Dr. Steiner is also very funny. He never misses a chance to through in a good joke, anti-Canada or anti-Arkansas, for example (The Articles of Confederation only had one branch, justlike a family tree in Arkansas.)
