Debian Linux

What is Debian? Debian is a free operating system for your computer. Debian uses the Linux kernel , but most of the basic OS tools come from the GNU project. Although Debian currently uses the Linux kernel, it there is work in progress for other kernels, such as Hurd. Although the Debian itself costs money for the distro, other operating systems, like Ubuntu, are free.
