Myers-Briggs types
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a test that is intended to classify one's personality in 4 areas: extraversion vs. intoversion, sensing vs. intuition, thinking vs. feeling, and judging vs. perceiving (which is a meta-category intended to tell which of the previous two preferences a person likes to use with the outer world). If you want to learn more about the MBTI, you can visit the wikipedia page. Or you can just take the online test.
As a type is only 4 bits, it can't tell you everything about a person. There are also issues with the so-called Forer Effect, which explains how people will sometimes pick certain choices because they improve their self-image.
So while the test is not perfect, it can be interesting nonetheless, and a person's personality often correlates in some way to their type.

The online test
The online test is a greatly simplified version of the official test, which contains about 160 questions. Unfortunately, the average person cannot give him or herself this test as it requires certification. Dr. Bob, however, can, and probably will if you ask him.
