Despite the common misconception, the "Institution" referred to in "Institutional Advancement Committee" is not SGA: it is the Academy. IAC's main goal is to promote the Missouri Academy on a local, regional, and national level. When it comes to the major, non-repeatable achievements of SGA (i.e., things besides keeping the building clean or running dances and prom), IAC is a powerhouse of change.

Besides working to advance the Academy, it is also a sort-of "catch-all" committee, flexible enough to tackle any issue of the day.
