Overview[edit]

A course based upon how Science and Technology has influenced mankind. The course starts out with earlier things such as the development of language, the calendar, and farming. It progresses though the different major cultures of the world such as the Americas, China, Egypt, Greece/Italy, and Europe, pointing out different developments along the way. One major theme in the course was how many of the developments were connected, such as how railroad tracks are based upon with width of Roman roads, which are based upon with width of two horses side by side.

What Really Happens[edit]

Despite the name of the course, it really has very little to do with modern Science and Technology. The course is considered a humanities so it is much more focused on the history part and therefore could be considered more of a world history class with a slight focus on technological developments. Only a small portion of the last week of class dealt with modern technology such as computers, electronics, and the Internet.
