Dr. Fink teaches by going over the basic theorems, showing lots of examples, and then giving applications of the methods learned. The textbook used for this class is probably the worse execuse for a math textbook I have ever had to use. It doesn't illistrate theorems of concepts well, and the author only emphasizes the methods and applications that he likes, so alot of what Dr. Fink explains in the class is not expanded upon in the text.

[[User:Kenzie|kenzie]]: Dr. Fink is a nice guy, and he really knows his subject. He does not believe in the use of a calculator, so you will probably not find one very helpful in his class. It is nearly impossible to read his handwriting, and since he is left-handed, he often stands in front of what you desire to see, but if you ask questions he is very willing to decipher his scribbles. He also expects students to do the assigned homework, and ask questions over the problems they cannot complete. He covers new material almost daily, and so it is inadvisable to skip this class, especially since he doesn't like it when students don't attend class. He's very helpful in his office hours, and not many people go to him, so he's always eager to give students extra hints in his office. I enjoyed his class throughly.
