Style & personality
Merci is an upbeat professor. She looks like she should actually be a student in the class and she realizes this. During her first class on perception, she comes in dressed like a student and sits down in class to see how long everyone will stay waiting on the professor to show up. She isn't the best public speaker. Her grading is composed of 4 speeches, a mid-term, final, online quizzes, and the infamous in class quizzes. Her in class quizzes are for the most part easy points for showing up for class. One quiz that we had was "What am I drinking?" She walked around the room showing us her bottle of water.
Student opinions
Corey: I enjoyed her class overall. It was an 8 am class and she is was the first to mention that it is too early in the morning for class. She was a pretty easy grader on her speeches. However when it comes to rounding, unless you are one to two points away from the grade you want, try not to ask for rounding.
