About me[edit]
I am Florencio Serrano Castillo. You can also call me Flo, everyone else does. I am one of the current three Panamanians residents of the Academy (It will be four next year!). I am originally from David City, the second biggest city of Panama. I am known for my love for chemistry, my interest in manga, my philosophically crazy approach to life, my uncanny ability to argue about virtually any topic, and for those who know me well my room. I was a resident of 2W for my first year, but will be a on 3S for my second year.
Involment[edit]
This is a list of the clubs I was involve, and I role in them.
Science Olympiad: Team member, participated in the events: Chemistry Lab, Remote Sensing, and Technical Problem Solving. I was appointed co-president for the year 2010-2011 alongside Ji Hoon Kim.
Math Team: Team member, participated in three Great Plains Math League and qualified to the State competition. Also achieve one of the top five scores within the Academy in the Missouri Math League for the year 2010-2011. Elected co-president for the year 2010-2011 alongside Ji Hoon Kim.
Newspaper: Responsible, alongside Jacob Taylor, of covering and reviewing campus events. Also, I am the author of the sometimes appearing Philosophy Column.
SGA: Associate Member.
Cartographer: Basically a teaching assistant for the one of the nine seminar classes.
National Society of Collegiate Scholars: Associate Member
