The Green Club/Team (yet to be decided)

The Green Team/Club was founded in early 2008 by Jessica Brooks and Brianna Reese. The purpose of the group for its first semester (Spring 2008) is to organize those that want to attend meetings of the Northwest Environmental Organization and plan activities for May Community Service.

Current Project Ideas/Plans (as of 01/25/08):

  • Spreading reusable bags at HyVee, the Union, and the Station
  • Considering going to Maryville's City Council to decrease emissions
  • Advocating Recycle Mania
  • Encouraging less use of general trash cans (instead of the recycle ones)

etc.
