  • French I
  • Practicum in French Studies

Style & personality[edit]

Mr. Horner's lectures come straight from the book. He guides the class through the text exercises and answers questions. There are tests over every two to three units, as well as vocabulary and verb quizzes. In his Spanish classes he assigns work out of the workbook. Depending on his mood, late work is accepted and absences are excused. However, on a bad day, he will not be hesitant to lecture a student in front of the entire class. To get an A in his class, a 92% is required.

Student opinions[edit]

I took Mr. Horner for Spanish II and the most notable thing about the class was that it was very boring. It was pain to get up in the morning. I didn't like the fact that I had to work 2% harder to get an A in a class that should have been pretty easy. (I ended up with a B.) He's not mean, and not unfair, and if you work hard enough (ie: study for the quizzes the day before, instead of that morning), you will probably do well. Remember to read the syllabus, because sometimes he doesn't tell you what is due for the next class. -Sillyputty
