Style & personality
An amazing and new professor at Northwest, Dr. Jones is a man you can hear coming from a mile away. You'll never forget his laugh so long as you live. He's a graying, down-to-earth man with a beard. If you want to actually pass Physics, you might want to gravely consider taking Jones. He will spend endless hours with you working on your homework and helping you understand what the book wants you to do! He won't make you read the book (except for the homework problems), mostly since he can't even understand the book.
His tests will take you all hour (unless you're a whiz). If he estimates wrong, odds are the test will take you three hours. So make sure that if you sign up for his class, you're off for the rest of the afternoon. The good thing about Jones is that he makes many mistakes and doesn't count them against you (like if you used question 4's answer to get question 5 and you messed up on 4, as long as your process is right, he won't count off on 5). You can also argue with him for points. If you present a good argument, he'll give you credit. Each question is worth 5 points and there's no partial credit on the tests. (one point is for units)
He has usually 11 quizes during the semester (one each Friday excluding test Fridays). Your lowest quiz grade is dropped! So is your lowest exam grade. This means that if you feel so motivated, you can completely blow off (and/or not take) the lab final and not get penalized for it.
He doesn't care if you come to class... or sleep in class... or eat in class. He tends to ramble and his lectures don't exactly put you on the edge of your seat.

Daniel: You can't forget him. But you won't learn any physics to forget. A fair trade, I think.
