AMAZING WOMAN! Goes super slow so it's nearly impossible to get behind. Always eager to answer questions. Fun woman, even one-on-one. Sometimes she goes so slow it's hard to stay awake. Powerpoints teach and give examples. Best study material in the world. Study decently for tests, and you'll do just fine.

David Gorham-Ugh. Not only is she the worst teacher I've had at the Academy, she's the worst teacher I've ever had. Instead of say, teaching, she tries a radical new approach: reading notes that she hasn't read before, let alone understand. On top of all that, she's quite condescending, and treats her students as if they were retarded sea monkeys. Her coup de' grat: Her tests, which are supposed to focus on understanding the mindset and actions of programming, are done on paper. As such, the majority of points lost are due to simple formatting errors, that would've easily been caught and fixed had the exam been on a computer. Class is easy, but you won't gain any knowledge.

Daniel: I don't know how one teaches computer programming and I didn't take any other teachers so I have nothing to compare her style with. It is certainly dry. But it is also easy. She goes over the powerpoints when you could just as easily read them yourself. So perhaps you shouldn't go to class? Probably a bad idea if you want any help from her. Although, that's somewhat untrue, she's very helpful when you ask. And it's weird how almost scary and depressing she is when lecturing and how different she becomes outside of class. Somehow I don't think she has much fun with the lectures either and I wonder if it's even possible? Suggestion, take the course online if you can. You'll pick up some useful, basic computer programming skills, but not a lot. The tests aren't as bad as she thinks they are, study most definitely (especially vocab). Even if you miss a few points, it's no big deal. But DON'T miss a program if at all possible. But even if you miss one, you've still got an A if you work hard enough. In summary, she's cool, easy, boring, lots of tedious work.

kenzie: a nice lady, but a terrible teacher if you are even slightly computer literate. She believes her courses are the hardest on campus to pass, and that only students who spend hours outside of class studying can get good grades. She is also a VB teacher, not a Java teacher, so her Java classes basically consist of her reading powerpoints that another professor wrote, and using all of his tests/quizzes/projects because she can't write her own. However, she is extremely friendly and nice to students who are respectful in class.

Ben: She's definitely not that bad of a teacher, although she can be boring at times. Then again, there's also the computer sitting right in front of you to steal your attention if necessary. For the most part, she knows what she's doing, so it's not that bad, although sometimes she will make some mistakes in her examples. So, basically, if you're going to pay attention to her examples, try to understand them, and if you don't, ask a question. There's a somewhat good shot that she did something wrong. Overall, though, she isn't bad as a teacher; she prepares you well for tests and doesn't look down upon her students. Also, her class is somewhat easy, but it might require a little studying here and there.
